Consulting

Software Consulting

We work alongside your existing team, not in place of it. We assess architectural decisions, technology choices and code quality with an independent eye and leave behind recommendations you can act on.

What is Software Consulting?

Software consulting usually comes up at a decision point: should the system be rewritten or improved, which technology should we move to, why are releases getting slower? What makes these questions hard is not that the answer is unknown. Every answer requires the team to assess its own past decisions.

We work alongside the team, not over it. We examine the architecture, the data model, the dependencies and the deployment process, and separate genuine risk from mere difference of preference. A rewrite is not our first recommendation; in most systems the problem is not the whole architecture but technical debt concentrated at a few points, and that can be repaired while the system stays up.

The review is not limited to code. Test discipline, code review habits and release frequency often matter more than the code itself. The output is not a presentation but an ordered list of recommendations: which item answers which problem, and what should be done first. The decision is yours; if you want, we stay on through implementation.

Scope

  • Architecture review
  • Technology and library selection
  • Code quality and test strategy
  • Team practice and code review discipline

How we work

Every engagement begins with a discovery session: together we work out who runs the process, where it jams, and which constraints are real. The scope becomes clear after that session — and so does the proposal.
